DOT: FROM DRESSING ROOMS TO CAFÉ, THIS IS THE NEW SPOT IN Barrio Italia For 30 years, Dagma Sánchez (@dagma_dot) set up dressing rooms for Madonna, Serrat, Guns N’ Roses, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, among many others, when they came to play in Chile. The accumulation of those experiences led her to open DOT (@dagmaontour) in Barrio Italia, in April of this year. A café and brunch spot decorated like one of those dressing rooms, with a kitchen that also draws from what she served artists for decades. And no, it’s not one of those minimalist cafés that are everywhere these days. Inside, there are red-lacquered horse heads, a checkerboard floor, pink velvet curtains, and a makeup mirror surrounded by lightbulbs. In that corner sits the armchair where Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, David Gilmour, and Madonna once sat. In the main room, a display case holds items that Guns N’ Roses, Benson Boone, and Ricky Martin, among others, left behind in their dressing rooms. But you don't just come here to look. The kitchen is an important part of the experience, with a brunch menu featuring dishes like Eggs Benedict, with pastrami from Cecinas Melo —from Mulchén—, grilled avocado, poached egg, and hollandaise sauce over… On the flyer: DOT: The stars' café
