Educated at the Universidad Católica, the author proposes a visual reflection based on the work Espigón y océano executed by Piet Mondrian in 1914. Like the famous artist from the Netherlands, Velasco abstracts the forms of nature and transforms them into geometric games; however, the artist goes further and, as a result of a recent stay in Venice -the city of canals-, she superimposes planes to create transparencies, movement, and sensuality, elements scarce in traditional geometric art.
