Meet the prominent voices in conservation who will be part of the event. 🗓️ This October 14, national and international leaders will gather at the Centro Cultural La Moneda (@ccplm) to share and discuss the challenges and opportunities for the conservation and effective management of protected areas at the VI Meeting of Protected Areas and Portal Communities. 🙌 Keynote speeches and panels will address topics such as conservation financing, philanthropy, communities, inland waters and their challenges, tourism, oceans, and biodiversity, among others. 📍 The VI Meeting is a free initiative led by the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Service (SBAP), CONAF, the Ministry of the Environment, and the Undersecretariat of Tourism, together with The Pew Charitable Trusts, the Austral Patagonia Program of the Universidad Austral de Chile, Chile California Council, Fundación Áreas Protegidas, Ladera Sur, the Portal Communities of Protected Areas Strategy, and the Centro Cultural La Moneda. 👀 Very soon you will be able to see the full program and register at encuentroareasprotegidas.com 👉@pr… On the flyer: LADERA SUR 6th Meeting of PROTECTED AREAS AND PORTAL COMMUNITIES 2026 October 14 Centro Cultural La Moneda Different perspectives and experiences will be part of this new version of the Meeting.
