The sacred and the monumental ✨ The Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Chile and the Camerata Vocal Universidad de Chile, under the baton of Swedish guest conductor Ola Rudner, take us from the intimate devotion of Mozart to the immensity of Mahler. 🎶 Mozart: Misa brevis, KV. 275 Composed in Salzburg, it is one of his lesser-known works, and for that very reason, a unique opportunity to listen to him from a different place than his great capital works. It is performed by Fanny Becerra (soprano), Valeria Vega (mezzo-soprano), Francisco Espinoza (tenor), and David Gáez (baritone), together with the Camerata Vocal Universidad de Chile, conducted by Juan Pablo Villarroel. 🎶 Mahler: Symphony No. 1 in D major “Titan” One of the last great symphonies in the tradition that runs from Haydn and Mozart to Beethoven, Brahms, and Bruckner. Here, Mahler's universe already beats: long-breathed movements, echoes of the klezmer music of his native Bohemia, and that sense of eternity that changed everything.
