The Culture Route on www.santiagoadicto.cl is presented by @toyotachile Museo Jedimar A world-class museum. Museo Jedimar is a private automobile museum located in the Chuchunco sector, in the Estación Central commune. Founded in 2010, its name comes from the fact that it primarily houses the personal vehicle collection of the Chilean-Spanish transport entrepreneur Jesús Diez Martínez, known in the industry by the acronym of his name, "Jedimar". The origin of Diez Martínez's collection began with the acquisition of the first vehicle for these purposes in 1967, a 1927 Ford T. That same year, he founded, along with a group of friends and classic car enthusiasts, the Club de Automóviles Antiguos de Chile. Over the years, the Diez family bought more car models from different origins, refurbishing and restoring those that were not in condition to be exhibited. The company Turbus acquired the premises of the old sugar factory owned by the Franco-Chilean company Societe Francaise du Sucreríes au Chili in 2009, located behind the Estación Central in Santiago.
