Photo exhibition "La Ciudad de Pepe Moreno"

You can't miss this great and unprecedented exhibition by photographer Pepe Moreno, featuring images of Santiago in the 70s and 80s. Where? At @plataforma_uchile, Juan Gómez Millas Campus of the Universidad de Chile. Av. Grecia 3401. Free and open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 21:00. Here we share part of the curatorial text by Nadia Prado. "Pepe Moreno -guardian of our memory- makes a city and a daily life that no longer exist reappear through his craft; a language and a time that have just ended, but are not distant enough to stop hurting. He makes us think and return to a world in splinters that has not survived, to the city with its movements and the marks of an unjust landscape, to the economic crisis during the dictatorship, to the Pope's visit to the La Bandera neighborhood. We glimpse in his shots pieces of an era that clashes with the one we inhabit today. Iconic shops in Providencia or bales of American clothing in some street market resurface, making us think of Chile as a huge package, pressed and tied up. He is a wanderer who is amazed, who walks through the city's passages, its streets and shop windows. He teaches us ways of inhabiting before… On the flyer: PEPE MORENO'S CITY
