Today we want to introduce you to Macarena. @maca.leyguardaesculturas She arrived at ceramics and sculpture driven by a very personal concern: finding a way to bring her ideas, emotions, and thoughts to life through her hands. In her work, there is much of what she observes and what inspires her. Nature is her great teacher; in its shapes and textures, in the stones, the rocks, and the traces left by the passage of time, she finds the inspiration that gives life to each of her creations. Since 2021, she has built her artistic path through self-taught learning, experimentation, and many hours of practice. An important part of her training took place in the workshop of sculptor Josué Gerli Fica, where she deepened her knowledge of different modeling and sculpting techniques. Today, in addition to continuing to create new works, she shares her knowledge by teaching sculpture classes at her workshop in La Reina. For Macarena, each piece is a way to connect, move, and open a conversation with those who contemplate it. We are very happy that she is participating again with her work in our Festival La Reina Florece this December and, above all, that she is part of our beloved community of ceramicists… On the flyer: Macarena Leyguard I believe that sculpture is a powerful form of communication, capable of evoking emotions, awakening reflections, and generating an intimate dialogue between the work and the viewer.
