📌The temporary exhibition Tiempo de sombreros, 1920-1960. Colección Museo Histórico Nacional will be presented starting Saturday, October 3 in two display cases at Mercado Urbano Tobalaba @mut.cl Through a selection of 80 objects from the Textile and Costume Collection of the Museo Histórico Nacional, the exhibition seeks to highlight the aesthetic diversity of these accessories, crafted both in Chile and abroad. This exhibition is a journey through the feminine hat as an object of art, craft, and social use. Among its main themes is millinery as a trade linked to the development of the fashion industry, in which female designers, artisans, and entrepreneurs stood out. Houses such as Lily Hats, Ana María de Soumar, and Stephanie Otto Hermanas, as well as the brand Ciró, created pieces inspired by international trends spread by fashion magazines and cinema.
