ANIMALES MONO GONZÁLEZ (@monogonzalezchile) National Prize for Plastic Arts 2025 Galería de Arte Montegrande presents ANIMALES, a new series of 12 screenprint works created by Mono González during his artistic residency at the FateLAB workshop, San Potito Sannitico, Italy, between the months of July and August 2026 (@fate_lab). In this series, Mono González returns to explore the animal figure from the graphic language he has developed over decades of work with drawing, graphics, and muralism. The animals appear represented from their essential elements, constructed through lines, contrasts, and masses of black that emphasize the expressiveness of the gesture and acquire a symbolic dimension, generating visual tension. Created using the screenprinting technique on 240 g/m² Fabriano paper, the works are in a 50 × 35 cm format and form a series conceived during this recent period of creation in Italy. ANIMALES thus presents a new approach by Mono González to animal representation.
