A son is visited by the ghost of his dead father. He doesn't come to tell him he loves him, but to tell him he was murdered and that he demands revenge. The son then loses his mind, not only because his father's ghost is, in reality, a kind of monster, but because the murderer is in his own family. That is what Hamlet is about. And being one of the most important works in history, it gave rise to a tremendous amount of adaptations and related works, including Hamnet, from 2020, which tells, this time, the story of a living father who, broken by guilt, invokes the ghost of his dead son. The father is, none other than, William Shakespeare himself. Hamlet and Hamnet are existential works, but they are also stories of ghosts, revenge, anger, death, illness, and perhaps, one of the most terrifying topics in literature: family relationships. So join me this October 31 to talk about one of the most famous ghosts in literature in this second crossover between books, cinema, and adaptations. This time we will meet in three sessions: Saturday, October 31 at 11:00 to talk about the play Hamlet, by William Shakes… On the flyer: TALLERES LA CORRECCIONAL HAMLET HAMNET BOOK AND FILM CLUB OCT 31 - NOV 28 THREE SESSIONS TWO MONTHS $20,000 PER MONTH
