AzulVerde. Algae and communities on the American Pacific coast

How have algae impacted human life on the American continent? This intervention explores the ancient relationship between people and algae on the coasts of the American Pacific. Through archaeological evidence, knowledge, and practices of different communities, it addresses their uses as food, medicine, fuel, fiber, and material for creation. From Alaska to the southern channels of Chile, algae are part of knowledge and traditions that endure to this day. At: Portal del Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino Faced with new forms of extraction and transformation of marine ecosystems, the exhibition proposes looking at algae not only as a resource, but as living forests that sustain diversity, beauty, and creativity. SAFA Activity, Santiago Festival de las Artes (Exhibition) · Santiago Centro Circuit · Audience: All audiences / Family-friendly
