The exhibition brings together a selection of works based on photographs taken on May 8, 1945, during the Victory in Europe Day celebrations. Recorded in East London, these images show families emerging from six years of war, bombing, and displacement—among them, the artist's mother, Roger Sidney, then nine years old, accompanied by her parents.
