📚 What happens when a society fails to heal the wounds of its past? In "Impunidad en Chile. Derechos humanos y protesta social: la historia vuelve a repetirse" (Impunity in Chile. Human rights and social protest: history repeats itself), @cnashr analyzes the serious human rights violations that occurred during the social protest of October 2019 and examines the State's response to these events. From a legal and human rights perspective, the book addresses impunity, State responsibility, institutional violence, and the challenges that persist in guaranteeing truth, justice, reparation, and guarantees of non-repetition. A necessary read to revisit a recent period of our history and ask ourselves what it means, in a democracy, to guarantee fundamental rights and face responsibilities when these are violated. This Tuesday, October 20, we invite you to the presentation of "Impunidad en Chile", by Claudio Nash Rojas. The activity will feature opening remarks by Paula Cortés and the participation of @psferrazza, @sofiaestherbrito, and the author. Moderated by Martina Pavletich. 📅 Tuesday, October 20 🕠 17:45 📍 Auditorio Alessandri, Faculty of Law, Universidad de Chile Pío Nono 1, Providenci… On the flyer: Impunidad en Chile.
