For the first time in Chile, "Nimiedades" is presented, a classic of American realism written by Susan Glaspell in 1916. Directed by Rodrigo Pérez, the play will be on stage between October 7 and November 7. The story begins after the murder of a farmer in his own bed, leaving his widow as the only suspect. During the investigation, the wives of the men in charge of the case remain in the kitchen and, through small domestic details, discover elements that could be key to solving the crime. Considered a fundamental figure of American literary realism, Glaspell addresses the oppression of women in this work from a sensitive and sharp perspective. The production features a cast including Catalina Saavedra, Blanca Lewin, Camila Brito, Isidora Castro, and María José Gatica. The play has a duration of 70 minutes and is recommended for ages 14 and up. On October 17 there will be a performance with audio description and a Chilean Sign Language interpreter, while on October 23 there will be a meeting with the audience. The season can be seen at Teatro UC. On the flyer: "Nimiedades": The classic crime thriller that arrives on national stages for the first time
