How did pop art develop in Chile and what was its relationship with popular culture? 🤔🍎 Come discover it at the launch of “Arte pop y cultura popular en los largos sesenta en Chile. 1959-1973”, a publication edited by Soledad García Saavedra (@lacurasur) and Carla Macchiavello Cornejo (@carlamacchiavellocornejo), which will be launched on Wednesday, October 14, at 18:30, at the MSSA. 📚The book, published by Écfrasis Ediciones (@ecfrasis_org), brings together ten unpublished essays that review scenes, exhibitions, and works developed in Chile between 1959 and 1973. Through texts and images, the researchers propose new perspectives on artists and collective experiences linked to popular culture, mass media, daily life, and the social changes that marked the country during those years. 💬The launch will feature its editors Carla Macchiavello and Soledad García Saavedra, Lucy Quezada, art researcher, Bachelor and Master in Theory and History of Art at the Universidad de Chile, and Matías Ayala, writer, professor, and researcher at the Universidad Finis Terrae. 📎To participate, you must register using the form in the link in our bio. 🗓️Wednesd… On the flyer: Book launch ARTE POP Y CULTURA POPULAR EN LOS LARGOS AÑOS SESENTA EN CHILE 1959-1973 OCTOBER 14 — 18:30 MSSA
