Last concert of the IX Piano Cycle! Edith Fisher will close the 2026 piano cycle, the first in the Gran Sala Sinfónica Nacional, with a program dedicated to preludes. It will begin with the Prelude from Bach's English Suite No. 3, where the precise and calculated meets a profound metaphysical depth. It will continue with Frank Martin's Eight Preludes, written after World War II and born from a Switzerland that intertwines the German, French, and Italian, with an almost mystical power and depth. And the journey will conclude with Chopin's Preludes, op. 28, pieces that play with complexity and simplicity, and carry the fighting spirit of Poland.
