Patricio Pizarro @patriciopizarro.art Academically trained in graphic design and subsequently through the free practice of plastic play, Pizarro has built over the last few years a plastic investigation that moves through different procedures and languages, from graphics and painting to mixed media. However, beyond the diversity of resources, there is a persistent concern that articulates his work: the human figure as a territory of exploration. His characters appear suspended in settings that seem to belong to a parallel reality. They are recognizable figures and, at the same time, strange; close and distant. They often lack a defined face, as if what identifies us could disappear to give way to a broader, less individual, and more symbolic condition. The body then ceases to be merely a representation to transform into a space of transit. In these works, the human being seems to always find themselves on the edge of something. We do not know exactly where they are looking, where they come from, or what their next move will be.
