06/10 — FUNGA X SIEMPRE We are turning ten. 🍄 “Funga por siempre” brings together works, archives, and collaborations that have accompanied the Museo del Hongo since its first appearance in Santiago in 2016. But rather than looking back, the exhibition starts with a question: what can a museum become after ten years of appearances and disappearances? Museo del Hongo was born without a permanent home. For a decade, it has flourished in galleries, museums, parks, laboratories, festivals, and digital platforms, connecting contemporary art, mycology, science, technology, and ecology. Throughout this journey, the museum has been thought of more as a network than a building, something that is temporarily activated between people, organisms, places, and knowledge. In “Funga por siempre”, works created at different times meet again. Installations, videos, sculptures, living organisms, and archives coexist as fragments of a story that remains open. Revisiting these ten years also means asking ourselves what has transformed and what can still sporulate. “Funga por siempre” does not seek to close a decade, but to use it as material to imagine the next… On the flyer: FUNGA X SIEMPRE 10 years Museo del Hongo.
