From spectators to creators: Boosting cultural democracy 🎭🎨 In a new column of #IdeasQueVinculan, Fabián Rosales reflects on the true impact of cultural management in communities. 💬 What began three years ago by inviting neighbors from Villa Portales to the Temporada de Conciertos Usach, today transforms into a burlap workshop on memory and identity whose work will be exhibited at the Sala de Artes y Oficios in 2027. 🧵🎨 In a complex national context, where Culture Funds suffer cuts and the sector's budget falls, #Usach maintains a firm commitment through its Community Engagement: guaranteeing the right to participate in cultural life with a free offer that reaches more than 50,000 people per year. 🤝 Sustaining memory and identity in the territories cannot depend solely on institutional budgetary capacity; it requires public policies that protect what communities are building today. 🏘️🧵 👉 Read the full column at the link in our bio. #IdeasQueVinculan #Usach #VIMEUsach DemocraciaCultural CulturaUSACH On the flyer: From spectators to creators: Boosting cultural democracy.
