‼️We are very happy to share a first preview of the XXVI Week of the Italian Language in the World #slim2026 An illustration exhibition that will accompany us until December: “Italian Excellence. Pinocchio’s New Suit” promoted by @bolognachildrensbookfair and curated by @accademia_drosselmeier with the support of #fondazionenazionalecarlocollodi 🔎 The exhibition commemorates the bicentennial of the birth of #carlocollodi and proposes a journey through the visual evolution of Pinocchio, one of the most universal characters in Italian literature. 🔎 The exhibition is divided into two sections: a selection of works already published by internationally renowned illustrators and the 24 winning illustrations from an international competition in which 531 artists from 54 countries and regions participated. 🤥 An invitation to discover how Pinocchio has changed shape, color, and imagery over time, between children's readings, darker visions, and contemporary reinterpretations.
