From the greatness of the Hispanic Monarchy to the crises that marked the country's path, the history of Spain is full of changes, conflicts, and decisive moments. The lecture series 'Spain: Splendor and Crisis' proposes a journey through the peak of the Habsburgs, the arrival of the Bourbons and their reforms, the decline of the empire during the 19th century, and the complex political and social scenario that led to the Civil War. Throughout four meetings, prominent historians will address the main processes that transformed Spanish history, from changes in dynasty to internal tensions and the challenges that shaped modern Spain.
