In this series of eleven drypoint etchings, Mono González, 2025 National Prize for Plastic Arts winner, explores a more intimate facet of his work, centered on eroticism, sensuality, and the relationship between body and landscape. Through textures, folds, and fluids, the images bring together bodily and geographical forms, creating associations between nature and desire. The play of glazes, movement, and transformation turns volcanoes into symbols of a vital energy that emerges and overflows. Sweat, which gives the series its name, appears as a trace of that inner force, inviting an open reading on the connections between matter, desire, and life.
