Radikals Techno presents "confidence” Saturday, October 10 23:00. I get dressed without rushing, turn off the house lights, and head out without telling anyone, because there’s nothing to tell. I walk with the cold air on my face and the calm pace of someone who has already decided, block after block, without overthinking it. I arrive at the line and wait without taking out my phone, no rush, and when it's my turn I go in and stay at the entrance for a moment, looking at the place, letting my eyes get used to the dim light. I cross over to an empty space and stay there, and my body loosens up on its own, effortlessly, without me having to convince it of anything. Around me, there are others who are also dancing alone, each in their own world, and that distance isn't coldness but something like respect among people who arrived on their own and are managing just fine. When the night ends, I walk out to the street with a quiet head and a light body, and I walk back with nothing left to do, because I went alone, I came back alone, and no one was missing.
