📖 How much of who we are today was born from wounds that never healed? The Infinite Plan, by Isabel Allende, traces the life of Gregory Reeves, a man who grows up in an unconventional family, marked by poverty, instability, and a constant search for meaning. Throughout his life, Gregory tries to find something that always seems to elude him: belonging, love, and a place in the world. His story touches on complex 20th-century themes such as social and racial differences, the Vietnam War and trauma, family, sexuality, ambition, guilt, and childhood wounds. Gregory makes mistakes, loves, hurts, runs away, and tries again. And perhaps that is the most powerful part of the book: you don't need to justify his decisions to understand where they come from. Isabel Allende doesn't build a character just for us to admire him. She builds a human being full of contradictions and forces us to ask ourselves how much our childhood can influence the decisions we make as adults. 💭 Does our past explain who we are, or does there come a time when we are responsible for changing our own story? #ElPlanInfinito #IsabelAllende #BookClub #BookstagramChil… On the flyer: ISABEL ALLENDE THE INFINITE PLAN STORIES THAT MAKE US HUMAN How much of who we are today was born from wounds that never healed?
