Ceiba: the Tree that Connects the Worlds

The Museo Inmersivo Las Condes (MUI) opened its doors in August with “Ceiba: el árbol que conecta los mundos”, an immersive experience by Mexican artist Josué Ibáñez inspired by the Mayan worldview. The work proposes a journey through an enveloping visual and sound universe, using audiovisual technology to explore the symbolism of the ceiba, a tree that in Mayan tradition connects different worlds. This exhibition arrives in Chile after being presented in London, Cannes, and Barcelona. The MUI has four rooms, more than 290 m² of LED screens, 42 million pixels, and 16 LiDAR sensors.
