#MAM | From October 4 to 18, the Museo del Sonido will become the epicenter of contemporary Latin American music with the first edition of the Bienal de Música Aumentada y Artes Sonoras (Bienal M⁺⁺ 2026). This avant-garde gathering is driven by Cid-Lara Studio, under the direction and curation of composer and media artist Jaime Cid-Lara, a graduate of the Magíster en Artes Mediales @mam_uchile. Other graduates from the same program are involved in this event: Claudio Saitz is participating in the general coordination of the Bienal, and Mariela Llovet is participating as a guest artist, exhibiting a sound art installation. As a prelude to the opening, Jaime Cid-Lara will present the framework behind the curation of this meeting at the 4th Congreso de Estudiantes de Postgrado. On Friday, October 2, the composer will close this event with a lecture titled "Música Aumentada: metodologías para la actualización de la obra de arte total desde Chile, mediante la primera Sinfonía⁺⁺ “8.8 2010”.
