Beatrice di Girolamo, artist Cesar Gabler, curator Dentro del aire brings together works by Beatrice Di Girolamo that explore the relationship between movement, color, space, and illusion. Her pieces seem to activate volume and unfold into space, but that perception is constantly called into question. The energy of the assemblies, joints, and physical forces coexists with an illusionism that transforms the surface and deceives the eye. The viewer must move in front of the works to confirm or refute what they see. Overlapping forms, labyrinths, and suggested voids construct a spatiality that demands unusual attention and perception. Dentro del aire thus proposes a double movement: the one suggested by the forms and the one the viewer's body executes in front of them.
