🖼️ ARTIST OF THE WEEK 🎨 Our “Artist of the Week” section is a space dedicated to exploring the world of visual arts through the work and vision of an outstanding artist. These weeks, and in celebration of the month of September, we have decided to highlight national artists. Today, we present the work of Claudia Gutiérrez. Claudia Gutiérrez Marfull (Santiago de Chile, 1987) is a visual artist with a degree in Visual Arts from the Universidad Diego Portales. Her practice focuses mainly on embroidery and other textile techniques, through which she develops representations of peripheral urban spaces, abandoned sites, ruins, and landscapes crossed by processes of social and territorial segregation. Her work explores the possibilities of textiles as an artistic language and as a practice historically linked to the feminine and artisanal crafts. Gutiérrez Marfull recontextualizes these techniques to address contemporary issues, incorporating scenes, marks, and situations from the urban spaces that are part of her daily experience. Her work establishes a unique relationship between territory, memory, marginality, and matter… On the flyer: ARTIST OF THE WEEK CLAUDIA GUTIÉRREZ Unidad PJ Pudahuel CULTURA Pudahuel mpudahuel pudahuelcultura United for good living
