La UChile welcomes exchange students; the Univ. of Oslo sends 1 or 2 per semester (undergraduate and master's level). According to testimonials from Norwegian students (2023 and 2025), the buddy program organizes events, exchange students easily form groups among themselves and take salsa and bachata classes and go hiking in the hills. They find rooms on compartodepto.cl or in Facebook groups. The university has activities open to the public ('La U invita').
