The Club Andino Wechupun (CAW) is a mountain club in Santiago founded in 1945/1946, with branches for high mountain, mid-mountain, hiking, and climbing. Its hiking branch, led by Dano Saavedra, offers periodic hikes open to the general public, including non-members and those without prior experience, and also organizes technical courses such as Winter Techniques and rope workshops.
